How to Use the Online Booking System
You can search for and book media at any time from anywhere by using any computer with Internet access. Just follow these easy instructions to access the REMC 5 media library. Items will arrive at your building through inter-school mail.
TO LOG ON AND START WEB/MAX
- Click on the "Checkout Materials" link to the left.
- Enter the user number (this is your district and building code, plus the last four digits of you social security number - example: 15011111)
- Enter the password: remc5 (this is a default for everyone)
- Click on "Submit".
TO SEARCH FOR MEDIA
- Type a word in the containing the words box (example: dolphin).
- If you would like to limit your search to a certain media type or grade level, click on the appropriate box/boxes. You can select more than one media type or grade level.
- Click on the "Go" button.
TO ORDER AN ITEM
- Click on the “
” in front of Order for the media that you wish to book. You can order more than one itme at a time.
- Click on the "Order" tab at the top or "Order Form" at the bottom of the page.
THE ORDER FORM
- This will show the next available date for the media selected. To accept this date, click on "Next".
- To select a new date, click the blue calendar icon under Earliest Use. On the calendar that comes up, click any weekday that is blue.
- To change the date, click "Next". Dates will be updated, if the item is available at the requested time.
- Click "Finish" to confirm your order.
TO CANCEL A BOOKED ITEM
- To cancel an item that has been booked, click on the "On Order" icon located on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the Cancel box.
- Click on the "Cancel/Exted Items" icon.
TO END THE SESSION
- Click on the "Close" tab on the top of the screen.
- Close the Web/MAX window or select "Back to Our Homepage".
Please be aware that Web/MAX has many other functions and features, including other methods to search for and book media that are not covered here. If you have problems accessing Web/MAX, have questions about the program, or would like a training session on Web/MAX, contact your local REMC location.
