REMC 5 Services
Discovery Education Streaming
Discovery Education Streaming is a digital video-based learning resource. REMC provides the DE Streaming license to all member schools. Featuring more than 10,000 full-length videos divided into nearly 75,000 content-specific video segments, DE Streaming enables educators to seamlessly integrate digital media in the classroom. For log in information, contact Stacey Beebe at sbeebe@cgresd.net.
Moodle
REMC supports the Moodle course management system for teachers wishing to create an online or blended element to their classroom. Technical needs, account set up and maintenance, as well as training are provided at no additional cost to REMC member schools.
Instructional Technology Training
The focus of professional development through the REMC is to create an awareness of the interrelationship between educational technology and curriculum. Group sessions and hands-on experiences are offered to those interested in increasing their classroom and personal effectiveness.
Maker Materials
REMC has classroom materials available for checkout. Incorporate coding, design thinking, and the maker movement philosophy in your classroom with these hands-on resources. To check out materials, contact Stacey Beebe. For information on training and classroom implementation, contact Kay Hauck
REMC SAVE Bid
REMC 5 participates in a statewide program designed to service school districts with cooperative buying power on a statewide bid of supplies and equipment. This arrangement saves schools up to fifty percent on purchases of audiovisual equipment, office supplies, and technology items. Many vendors optimize the savings by dealing directly with the twenty-two REMCs in the state, rather than 550 plus local school districts.
